Black & Quirky pots
 

These pots celebrate black clay in all its glory. Many pots have been purposely unglazes or with a light transparent glaze to show off the natural rich black colour and texture of the clay. Different touches of red, yellow and white have been married up to enhance the character and offer of the black clay in all its dimensions.

It has certainly been interesting to work with this clay which has its own distinct character when compared to terracotta, that I am most familiar with. The quirky vessels express and reveal a fun element that contrasts the otherwise sober presence a black elegant pot can command.

All pots are versatile in function and lend well for informal social occasions with friends and family.
